Description:
Step 1. Set the angle of the bench so it is the same as used with incline bench press. Keep your back straight on the bench. Let your arms hang straight down with a dumbbell in each hand.
Step 2. Keeping your upper arms in place, bend at the elbow and curl the weight as high as you can, squeezing the muscle at the top of the motion.
Step 3. Lower the weight back down until your arm is straight.
Notes:
The incline curl is a variation of the seated dumbbell curl. The exercise is important because it strengthens and develops the entire bicep muscle with a long range of motion. Incline curls can be performed as either a mass building motion or a shaping and developing motion. The incline position of the bench allows the user to fully extend his arm to work the whole bicep. This exercise can be performed with or without rotating the wrist during the curling motion and can be done one arm at a time or two.
