For over 50 pre-designed workouts you can bring straight to the gym, view EMG’s Workout Routines.

Description:

Step 1. Sit with your feet flat on the floor. Place your elbows and upper arms on the pad.

Step 2. Grip the handles and extend your arms until they are straight.

Step 3. Return your arms to the starting position. Keep your elbows on the pad at all times.

Notes:

The machine tricep extension is a variation on the tricep extension that allows the user to build size and strength in the triceps. Users may prefer performing this exercise on a machine as opposed to with an EZ bar due to the ability to keep the elbows in place on a pad. The ability to keep the feet planted as well make this a very secure exercise for those with back or elbow pain. Depending on your gym, the tricep machine may have a back rest. The back rest should be adjusted to a position that accommodates proper elbow position. The back rest may allow the user to perform the machine tricep extension with more weight than on machines that do not have a back rest.
